THIS WEBSITE IS DEDICATED TO MICHAEL GEORGE ANDERSON

The Golden Retriever website is in dedication to my friend and Masonic Brother, Michael G. Anderson.  Michael designed, developed and maintained the first golden-retrievers.org website.  He was the club Secretary for a while.  Early in his career, Michael took a love to photography, photographing many landscapes and portraits.  He worked many hours as a printer for Behagg and Reeb Printing company, utilizing his photographic skills to perpetuate the business.  He was very knowledgeable in the computer world, developing the first online billboard in the City of Evansville.  He owned a computer back when most folks had never heard of this device.  In his spare time he built PC's and was involved in networking, especially software implementation.  He was active in Evansville Masonic Lodge #64 and an Honorary Member of Lessing Masonic Lodge #464.  He was a member of the Hadi Shrine Temple and club member of the Hadi Funsters.  Michael worked diligently with the Hadi Shrine Circus.   As a licensed pyro technician he was responsible for the booms and bangs that we have all seen at the Circus.  Among other hobbies, Michael was a Magician and had written a book which, sold on the internet.  One of his greatest assets was the love and care that he gave to his Golden Retrievers and his Chow Chow.  They were his best four legged friends.  Michael, along with his lovely wife Caroline, who was his truest companion and best friend,  spent many hours raising, training, grooming and showing their Goldens.  Michael had made a space at his printing shop so that Caroline was able to teach the handlers various techniques and familiarize the dogs with the competition showing ring.  While Caroline was busy in the ring, Michael was grooming the pets in the back room.  He was always in the scene.

His intelligence, honesty, kindness, friendliness and dedication to his fellow man will always be remembered.  His Goldens and Chow Chow were "oh so lucky" to have had his enduring love and faithfulness to them.  There will always be a warm spot in the hearts of the people who new Michael.

Michael was responsible for me purchasing my first Golden, "A New Way to Fly" or simply Flyer.  Later, I was given a Golden by the name of "Texas Two Step" or simply Texy Boy.  Michael always told me, they would become the truest of friends and they would always stand by my side through the best and the worst of times.  A very true statement.

I think about Michael often in the course of the day, wondering if he is showing in the ring or maybe just grooming in the backroom.
What ever the case may be......he is with a loving Golden Companion, "The Truest of friends".
